Google review QR code: what it is and how to get one

A review QR code turns "please review us on Google" into a single scan. Here is what it is, how to create yours, and where to put it so customers actually use it.

What is a Google review QR code?

It is a QR code that points directly at your Google review box, the pop-up where a customer picks their star rating and writes a review. Instead of searching for your business and hunting for the review button, they point their phone camera at the code and the review screen opens straight away. Fewer steps means far more completed reviews.

How to create your Google review link

  1. Sign in to your Google Business Profile at business.google.com.
  2. Open your profile and find Get more reviews. Google gives you a short review link (it looks like g.page/r/...).
  3. That link is the destination. Anyone who opens it lands on your review box.

If you cannot find it, you can also build the link from your Place ID using Google's standard review URL. Good Shout does this lookup for you automatically when you order, just type your business name.

Turning the link into a QR code

Any QR generator can turn that review link into a QR code. The catch is what you do with it next. A QR pasted into a Word document and printed on office paper works, but it curls, fades, gets coffee rings, and looks exactly as cheap as it is, on your counter where customers judge you.

Why a printed acrylic stand beats a paper QR

One scan, done in 20 seconds. Customer scans the stand, your Google review box opens on their phone, they tap five stars and type a line. That is the whole flow, at the exact moment they are happiest.

Get your review QR code on a proper stand

Good Shout prints your logo and scan-to-review QR code onto a premium acrylic counter stand. Type your business name and we find your Google review link for you. A6 R500, A5 R550, made in Cape Town.
